FCC approves Philips phone

Philips cellphones are pretty much a rare sight in the U.S., but the FCC has recently let one slip by with a nod of approval for this RAZR-like slim clamshell handset. It looks pretty neat from the outside, featuring a prominent digital camera with video recording capability on the outside. This GSM handset also comes with an integrated MP3 player with support for playlists, a memory card expansion slot of some sort, an internal color display, a tiny monochrome external display, Bluetooth connectivity, and Chinese language support. I suppose this cellphone ought to be a hit amongst the Chinese-speaking community living here. Philips has even thrown in a “Lady’s Planner”, and Sherlock deduces it helps you score with your mate when attempting to bring yet another mouth into this world. No idea on the carrier, the cost, and launch date at this moment though.
