Nokia unveils 3G-enabled 6290

Nokia has introduced a mid-range 3G smartphone that runs off the S60 3rd Edition, and the Nokia 6290 is set to bring 3G functionality across a wide spectrum of audience at an affordable price of approximately €325. Features of the 6290 include a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, a 2.2″ QVGA 16 million color display, e-mail functionality with support for PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and PDF files, an integrated MP3 player, and a video call function. The 3290 even comes with a Setup Wizard that makes setting up e-mail, MMS functionality, and other operator-specific settings a cinch. This clamshell handset will ship in Q1 2007.
