Nokia offers DVB-H enabled N92 in Asia
Nokia will begin to ship its new DVB-H enabled cellphone, the N92 worldwide by releasing this multifunctional handset in Asia first with Vietnam and Indonesia being the two privileged countries. The N92 was tipped to be sold sometime this summer, but that plan was thwarted as many cellphone networks still did not get their DVB-H service up and running by then. Vietnam Multimedia Corporation is said to launch the commercial DVB-H service on November 18 across a quartet of towns, featuring eight TV channels and half the amount of radio channels. Digita of Finland will offer DVB-H services to N92 users on December 1. Is DVB-H really that important, and does it have a killer app on the horizon to spark a boom?
