HTC Cavalier grinds the rumor mill

Rumors of a new HTC device has heated up the virtual world, and the HTC Cavalier is widely tipped to replace the 3G-less, UMTS/HSDPA-less HTC Excalibur. It will be positioned to compete against the Samsung i600 series as well as Motorola’s Q smartphone, and from what we have gathered, the HTC Cavalier will carry a 320 x 240 horizontal display, a QWERTY keyboard, the long awaited HSDPA/UMTS support, a speedy Samsung 400MHz processor, as well as the usual shenanigans like quad-band GSM, GPRS and EDGE connectivity, WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0. Bear in mind that this information was gleaned from rumors floating all over, so nothing is 100% confirmed yet. Picture courtesy of SoloPalmari.com.
