Samsung hits China with MP3 phone

Samsung decided to pay our friends in China a visit by dropping the Samsung X838 cellphone that functions as a digital audio player which is able to handle cellphone calls, or is it the other way round? The X838 comes with a Click Wheel-lookalike which will be used for navigational purposes and as a dedicated music controller. The design is strangely reminiscent of Motorola’s V70, featuring a 360-degree swivel design that took the world by storm back at the turn of this century. 1GB of internal memory might not be enough for more serious music aficionados though. We’re not sure whether there’s a memory card slot which could greatly enhance the phone’s desirability, but a 1.3 megapixel camera rounds off the list of specifications.
