O2 XDA Zinc given FCC nod
After yesterday’s peek at the O2 Graphite from Asus, it seems that the FCC has approved yet another Windows Mobile smartphone from the Taiwanese manufacturer. Looks like Asus is stepping onto HTC’s turf, and this can only bode well for the end user as competition often brings out the best in your opponent. The smartphone in question is known as the O2 XDA Zinc which goes by the moniker Asus Mars II as well. This tri-band GSM 3G-enabled handset is powered by an Intel PXA270 520MHz processor and comes with WiFi & Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 2 megapixel camera. No word on when the Zinc will be released and how much it will cost, so start saving up today.
