Motorola SLVR on a budget

No matter how expensive cellphones get, the biggest segment of consumers settle for entry-level and mid-range handsets. This is where a company will derive its greatest profits from, and those who are cash-strapped to pick up the Motorola SLVR will be pleased to know that UTStarcom’s PCS-1400 is now available via Virgin Mobile. Better known as the Slice, this cellphone comes in a 10mm profile, making it one of the slimmest budget handsets in the market. Other than its svelte body, the specs are pretty disappointing with a 128 x 128 pixel display, a paltry 32MB of memory, and a speakerphone. As a $50 cellphone, the Slice does not come with Bluetooth connectivity or a camera.
