Jasper S20 Java-based handset

The Jasper S20 is very different from other handsets on the market by virtue of being the first Java-powered cellphone that supports an early build of the JSR-209 specifications, giving developers the ability to conjure up advanced user interfaces using Swing and Java2D. The Jasper S20 comes in a cheery orange and white color scheme, featuring a 5-way joystick in the middle, a miniSD card slot, a 1.3 megapixel camera, and playback support for video and audio files. Despite being announced in May, there is still no sight of the Jasper S20 at the moment. It will be released in Asia first, while the rest of the West will have to wait.
