Hitachi W43H supports ISDB-T

Hitachi has lifted the curtain on the W43H cellphone at CEATAC 2006. There is not much detail released regarding the W43H, other than the fact that this clamshell handset supports the ISDB-T portable broadcasting standard in Japan. You get to watch all your favorite drama serials via the 2.6″ widescreen QVGA LCD display without missing a beat despite being out of home, and should you be in a meeting and unable to know what’s going on, there’s always the option of recording the show and watching it later. The W43H looks rather plasticky IMHO, but the multi-directional display would work well when it comes to watching TV on it.
