Sprint launches Sprint Movies service

Sprint has launched the first “pay-per-view” service, named Sprint Movies, in the U.S. for cellphones. This means subscribers will be able to watch full-length movies from studios such as Buena Vista VOD, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Universal Pictures. With an initial offering of 45 titles including Spider-Man 2 and Scarface, you can now be entertained wherever you go without worrying about running out of storage space. Sprint Movies offers you the flexibility of sitting through an entire movie in one go or breaking it down by chapters. Standard video functions like skipping forward or rewinding are included. Each movie costs anywhere between $3.99 to $5.99. Would anyone be interested in such a service? Watching a full-length movie on a cellphone probably means you will need to plug it into a charger as the battery will probably be the first to go. Read on after the jump for the initial movie list.
