The Samsung C417 was recently approved by the FCC, and it has been made available to consumers by Cingular. The C417 is nothing to shout about, offering average features that should keep the entry-level crowd happy although power users should steer clear of this handset. This clamshell cellphone has a 65k color TFT internal display at 128 x 160 pixels, while the external display has a resolution of 96 x 96 pixels. A VGA camera is included for you to capture the occasional candid shots. You can pick up the Samsung C417 for $49.99 with a contract. If your budget permits, perhaps you can look at some other Cingular offerings which won’t go the way of the dodos so soon.
