Nokia E62 launched in Canada
The Nokia E62 is based on the E61 and you don’t even need to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out. It seems that Canadian operator Rogers Wireless has launched this smartphone ahead of Cingular Wireless in the U.S. despite rumors that the E62 will appear Stateside first. The Nokia E62 is almost a carbon copy of the E61, except that it lacks WiFi and UMTS connectivity which will severely dent the E62’s sales. All the other hardware specifications remain the same, including the lovely 16 million color 320 x 240 resolution display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a microSD memory card slot. The Nokia E62 is up for grabs for $249.99 with a 3-year service contract, $399.99 for a 2-year contract, while a one-year contract will cost $449.99.
