FCC approves i880

The Motorola i880 has finally received approval by the FCC and is set to be launched in the U.S. market. Unfortunately, this clamshell handset does not come without an antenna, harking back to the old days when functionality took precedence over form. The i880’s unique snakeskin housing ought to catch the eyes of many, especially with the hype generated by the recently released movie, Snakes on a Plane. The i880 boasts dual color displays, a 2 megapixel camera, GPS functionality, Push-To-Talk, and Bluetooth connectivity. When you’re bored on your travels, you can always listen to a few songs via the built-in MP3 player. There is no word on availability and pricing, so stay tuned.
