Asus to unveil P535 GPS phone
Convergence device lovers are encouraged to take a look at Asus’ attempt at a PDA GPS handset in the form of the P535. The P535 will use the tried-and-tested SiRFStar III GPS chipset to keep you on track, while the Intel XScale 520MHz processor, 64MB RAM, and 256MB ROM aims to keep things running smoothly in the backgronud. Expect to get all the bells and whistles that come with the powerful Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. The tri-band P535 might have Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, but it lacks an EDGE connection which could make the HTC P3300 a much more attractive proposition. The Asus P535 will be out in December for approximately $760. More specs are available after the jump. • Tri-band GSM and GPRS
