Samsung SGH-C417 to be available on Cingular

Samsung’s new SGH-C417 is an entry-level clamshell cellphone offered by Cingular. This quad-band GSM handset comes with an unsightly stub antenna as well as a 128 x 160 pixel internal color display and a greyscale external one. Features include Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and support for JAVA. There is no word on the exact launch date, but traditionally, an FCC approval generally means the recently approved cellphone will be released soon.
