KDDI to carry Pantech A140PT handsets

Pantech of Korea has successfully snagged a $0.11 billion deal with KDDI to supply its A140PT 3G-enabled cellphones. The Pantech A140PT measures 98.3mm x 50.8mm x 19.8mm and boasts a primary 2.4″ 260k color QVGA TFT LCD display that supports a QVGA resolution, a secondary 1.2″ 65k color TFT display at 128 x 128 pixels, and a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash. This 800 single-band CDMA 1x 2000 handset aslo features a crime prevention buzzer that should come in handy, especially among the female population. The Pantech A140PT will be available under KDDI’s au brand in Japan.
