The upcoming Blackberry from Research in Motion sure is undergoing an identity crisis. First known as the 8100, it changed its moniker to Stealth shortly after that. For the third and hopefully the last time, the good folks at RIM have christened it the Blackberry Pearl. The Pearl holds the proud distinction of benig the first camera-equipped phone from RIM and will boast features such as a 65k color display (240 x 260 resolution), EDGE connectivity, 64MB of built-in memory, and a microSD card slot. It ditches the scroll wheel in favor of a trackball-like device for navigational purposes, and the lack of a full QWERTY keyboard is compensated by the SureType technology. The Blackberry Pearl will be available at T-Mobile kiosks on September 18 onwards for $199.
