FCC approves W712a and Z712a

Looks like the Sony Ericsson W712a and Z712a will be made available to consumers soon after receiving their respective stamp of approvals from the FCC. Both handsets feature a clamshell design and are also GSM/EDGE devices. It is interesting to note that the W712a and Z712a have plenty in common with the W710 and Z710 when it comes to features and design, where the most noticeable difference would be the retractable antennas. The W712a will carry the Walkman legacy, hence its feature set will lean towards all things musical. Both handsets boast a 2 megapixel camera, multimedia playback capabilities, a built-in FM tuner, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, and a Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot.
