Vodafone to carry UMTS-capable Treo from Palm

Palm has released an official statement that confirms the release of a new Palm Treo over Vodafone’s 3G UMTS network in the near future. This new Treo device will be running on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Operating System and offers the convenience and ease of wireless push email, incorporating the AKU2 Messaging and Security Feature Pack. Vodafone’s vast UMTS networks around Europe make it the most suitable candidate to carry the UMTS-capable Treo. The new Treo should be released before the year is over and is expected to debut in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands when released.
