LG AX490 boasts Fastap system

Alltel is the first operator to offer the Digit Wireless Fastap text input system in conjunction with the U.S. launch of its new LG AX490 CDMA clamshell handset. The Fastap system boasts a regular phone keypad with raised buttons for each letter of the alphabet, providing a function that’s similar to the QWERTY keyboard. The LG AX490’s layout enables one to access almost any area of the phone’s user interface via the alphabet keys. This mid-range phone features a VGA camera, an external color OLED display, and Bluetooth connectivity. It costs $59.99 after a mail-in rebate and a 2-year service agreement.
