Philips S880 clamshell phone targets entry level market

Philips has unveiled a new clamshell phone that comes with music playback functionality, 128MB of internal memory, a 1.72″ CSTN color display, and a VGA camera with video capture. You can tell by the S880’s specifications that it is a phone that targets the entry level market. This dual band GSM phone measures 87.5mm x 43.5mm x 20.5mm and weighs just 80g. Unfortunately, it does not have MP3 ringtone support – just 64-tones polyphony that is at least a generation behind.
