Nokia 111 concept phone

Nokia collaborated with 25 Industrial Design MA students to produce mock ups of future phones at the Air Gallery, dangling a wad of cash as an incentive as well as a summer placement at Nokia Design Studios. Daniel Meyer came up tops with the Nokia 111 concept phone. The 111 swivels around, making it the perfect communication device to sit on the table as it can face the speaker anytime. It also had a realistic form factor that made it possible to be put into production unlike other more outlandish designs. Other application ideas include a friends radar that will alerts you when friends are nearby, and a “Soft SIM” contact transfer method.
