Lightning strike risk for cellphone users during storms
Cellphone users run the risk of getting struck by lightning whenever they chat during a thunderstorm, according to U.K doctors. Recently a 15-year old teenager was struck by lightning while chatting her way through a large park in London during stormy weather as the metal in the phone directed the current into her body. It makes one wonder whether the cellphone was waterproof as you would be pretty much off your rocker to walk through a park during a storm without noticing the rain. So far there have been 3 deaths recorded worldwide attributed to lightning strikes while using a cellphone.
