Sliding-Clamshell cellphone design patented by Samsung

Both clamshell and slider phone designs have always hid the screen when not in use, with some preferring the clamshell due to the compact size while others are partial to the slider for large screens. Samsung have amalgamated both to create the sliding-clamshell design. You flip the phone open, allowing the screen to slide up, leaving room for standard keys and a click wheel for navigation. This design will produce more compact but thicker phones. Samsung has patented the design and if it takes off, it would be prudent to keep such a phone in a belt pouch lest others think we males are walking around flaunting our assets.
