Auto-TXT car theft prevention system

British-based RDM is offering a car theft prevention system that is implemented by using a cellphone and Bluetooth connectivity. The Auto-TXT service requires you to start a car equipped with a Bluetooth module from Ezurio. The system must be programmed to recognize the Bluetooth-enabled cellphone that acts as a secondary key. Upon starting the car, it will search for the cellphone and will consider the vehicle stolen if the cellphone is not detected even if the proper key was used. You can then track your vehicle via conventional methods or disable it remotely. The Auto-TXT system should cost between £500 and £600, depending on whether the Remote Disable feature is included.
