Samsung's 2GB MultiMediaCard targets cellphone users

Samsung has successfully developed a 2GB MultiMediaCard (MMCmicro) that comprises of a combination of four 4Gbit NAND flash devices. This makes it the smallest, fastest and highest capacity flash memory card available for mobile phones in the market. This development comes just 3 months after the 1GB MMCmicro launch. It measures 12mm x 14mm x 1.1mm and can store up to 12 hours of mobile video with a speedy transfer rate that downloads 3 hours of video in just 2 minutes. It operates at either 1.8V or 3.3V, making it a viable storage solution for cellphones as well.
