HELIO and Yahoo! mobile services alliance announced

HELIO, the funky new mobile carrier that targets young folks, have reached an agreement with Yahoo! to provide HELIO users easy access to Yahoo!’s mobile web offerings via a 3G connection. Yahoo! Messenger and Mail will most probably be included as well, since HELIO’s target market practically grew up on IM and email. The more exciting fact would be users can begin searches by typing in the home screen via the keypad, bringing search to the cellphone. HELIO subscribers can also access the MySpace site, making this a potential to be the outstanding feature in the service.
