T-Mobile WiFi Calling

Word on the street has it that T-Mobile Germany will be launching a WiFi/Cellular roaming service mirroring the one due to arrive in the US this summer. The T-One service will enable users to use laptops and PDAs to take advantage of features such as video calling and conferencing and IM as they switch between WiFi and cellular networks. In a more technical overview, T-One will not be based on Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) but on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). T-Mobile USA will be offering a compatible WiFi access point for phones over WiFi at home in addition to publicly located T-Mobile Hotspots. Via Daily Wireless.
