FCC approval just conferred on to the Tatung M1, it should be reaching our shores soon. Screenshots from the phone manual have shown Cingular’s name branded on to it, the M1 is set to be one of the carriers many releases. A quad-band GSM smartphone, it supports GPRS and Bluetooth but not EDGE or WAP. Still, it is said to be cheaper than the Cingular 2125 ($199.99 after rebate) so the loss is bearable. What isn’t acceptable is the poor 176*220 pixel resolution on its 2.2-inch TFT display. Running on Windows Mobile, its exact release date and price are yet unknown.
